Editorial Policy
How we collect specifications, verify listing claims, and handle corrections.
Source Material and Specification Audits
Our editorial assessments rely on systematic cataloging of public seller documentation, published packaging manifests, customer packaging reports, and stated tool inventories. We do not claim physical laboratory testing. Rather, we apply a consistent checklist against import listings to determine if a starter kit genuinely contains what a beginner needs.
- Seller Disclosures
- We parse item descriptions for raw fiber weight in grams, needle sizes, and included accessories. Where details are missing, we explicitly record them as unspecified.
- Instruction Verification
- We check whether seller tutorials provide English or French guidance and whether digital learning assets use open video streaming or restrictive hosting.
- Safety Checks
- Needle felting involves repetitive puncture risks. We record whether kits include protective leather finger guards and a dense felting base.
AI and Editorial Oversight
Automated processes are used to organize high volumes of import listings and cross-reference component specifications. Human desk leads direct these workflows, verify consistency against beginner craft norms, and approve all published editorial copy.
Corrections Policy
Import sellers frequently update bundle contents, change video tutorial links, or adjust wool allocations. When discrepancies or revised configurations are identified, our editorial standard is to promptly update the specification ledger on the relevant review.
Material modifications to component checklists or rating summaries are noted directly in the audit record.
